Training in Psychosocial Hazards
We recognise that while training is crucial, it alone cannot eliminate workplace hazards. Designed for senior leaders, this workshop focuses on building confidence and capability in identifying and supporting their team’s wellbeing. By providing insights into some of the key psychological needs that drive human behaviour, participants will learn a practical framework to maximise engagement when it comes to workplace interactions.

This session explores the different forms of aggression that can arise with customers and provides practical strategies for managing conflict. Participants will learn key do’s and dont’s of handling customer aggressionand how to support staff in developing effective techniques for prevention and management. The session also covers how to recognise psychological signs of employee distress following aggressive incidents and offers self-care strategies and additional support for managing the aftermath.

This session focuses on strategies to de-escalate strong emotions and regulate our own responses in challenging situations. Participants will explore how neuroscience can help prevent reactive behaviour and learn techniques to calm the threat response. The session also covers how to defuse tense situations and introduces a three-part assertive conversation framework to effectively communicate your message.

This module can be delivered as stand-alone training or as part of a broader mental health focused session for people leaders. The training is an interactive session that includes information around common forms of sexual harassment, bystander behaviour and strategies, and what leaders can do to contribute to the prevention of sexual harassment in the workplace. This session is also tailored to include specific information relating to the organisation’s policies and procedures around sexual harassment including reporting, support for employees, and resolution options (both informal and formal) should a complaint be made.
