It’s been a busy and exciting year at Bodycare.
Recently, we welcomed David Carroll to the team, who will be stepping into the role as National Operations Manager.
We sat down with David to find out about his experience and his new role at Bodycare…
David, tell us a little about yourself?
I grew up in Brisbane and have recently relocated to Melbourne from sunny Queensland. I am an avid sports fan with a love of all things road cycling. I spent most of my twenties living and working overseas in Canada, Japan and the UK. I am passionate about working with people to create dedicated, high performing teams and promoting the positive impact of occupational physiotherapy in the workplace.
Tell us a little about your experience in occupational health?
My occupational health career started as an onsite Physiotherapist working in various mining sites in Central Queensland’s Bowen Basin. I consulted to some of Australia’s largest companies and learnt that timely and accurate reporting, open and honest communication and the ability to develop proactive solutions were integral to the success of an onsite program. These skills, combined with a high level of clinical knowledge, enable onsite clinicians to have a positive impact on the workers and companies they consult to.
As Operations Manager, my role included implementing preventative programs to address site specific needs while also developing coordinated, holistic and targeted injury prevention and management systems for my clients. Progressing to Chief Operating Officer, I managed all aspects of business operations included managing employees and clients who were located in geographically isolated areas.
I have completed Level 1 and 2 Occupational Physiotherapy courses and have experience running and managing the entire gamut of occupational health services from ergonomic and pre-employment assessments to job dictionaries and manual handling training.
Tell us a little about the role that you will be taking on at Bodycare?
I’m really excited to be joining the Bodycare team as the National Operations Manager. My role encompasses all aspects of operations including recruitment, on boarding, training, quality assurance and client engagement. My purpose is to ensure that our team have the skills, training and support needed to provide our clients with a unique, targeted and proactive service, which in turn, will positively impact on the lives of the workers we engage with on a daily basis.
