Thought Leadership 2017 #1 People Matter: breaking down sleep, stress and mental health in the workplace
Join us as we kick off our Thought Leadership Seminar series in 2017.
We have three fantastic speakers lined up in Daniel Condon, Dr Justine Tuffley and our very own Claire Ebstein. This seminar will discuss the impact that mental health, sleep deprivation and stress is having on our people.
Thriving people lead to thriving business so it’s imperative that we look after the backbone of our organisations, our people.
Daniel Condon – INSIGHTS INTO MENTAL HEALTH FROM THE TREATMENT ROOM
Daniel will provide insights into why and how things go wrong for people’s mental health in the workplace. Attendees will learn about the individual human reality of mental burnout, breakdown, and illness, and the factors which cause them. The session will include an exploration of what can be done about this genuinely important issue.
Dr Justine Tuffley – THE CRIPPLING COST OF SLEEP DEPRIVATION TO YOUR BUSINESS
Ever wondered why your employees are disengaged, uninspired, making errors or struggling with decision making? They are probably tired.
Justine will present 4 case scenarios of typical employees who are not performing at work due to sleep problems. Justine will discuss how sleep can be addressed in the workplace and breakdown some of the myths around sleep and the impact it has on an individual.
Claire Ebstein – THE IMPACT OF STRESS AND EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE ON WORKPLACE PERFORMANCE
Claire will explore the science of emotions and the impact of stress on workplace health, productivity and engagement. The principles of mindfulness will be introduced and attendees will gain an insight into how mindfulness practice can play a part in improving workplace health and reduce our tendency to perpetuate stress and negative emotions.
