Join us for our first Thought Leadership for 2016 as we explore the issues and opportunities associated with an ageing workforce. Our panel of experts will discuss key elements to successfully prepare for and manage an ageing workforce, not just for today’s employment landscape but also for tomorrow’s.
Georgie Chapman, Partner at HR Legal, will discuss the legal obligations associated with providing a safe working environment while ensuring that older employees are not subjected to discrimination. Georgie will discuss reasonable adjustments that should be taken and explain the legal obligations associated with termination.
Tony Fell, Director from The Zalt Group, will discuss the defining characteristics of the generations, the associated strengths and explore intergenerational tensions in the workplace and share ways to manage issues that can arise. Tony will discuss management strategies to engage and support baby boomers and share his industry knowledge on how to actually make lasting changes in the workplace.
Rodney Hampel, Partner at Bodycare Workplace Solutions will be discussing the best approach for managing the physical issues that can present with an ageing workforce. Rod will discuss how to address the issues and how making changes will positively impact not just this generation but future generations. Rod will talk about how to harness the skills and talent that older workers bring to the workplace and how providing them with the tools to proactively improve their health and wellness will improve the overall health and wellness of the workplace.
